For Windows 10 and 11

Bind every appto an adapter,a speed limit,a data cap.

Choose the connection for each app. Wi-Fi, Ethernet, your phone or a VPN. If a link drops, the app moves to another. Or combine them to speed up downloads and uploads.

See it work

Watch an app change lanes.

Each app uses the connection you gave it. When one drops, only the apps that need it move. They return when it does.

Go faster

Combine connections. Speed up downloads and uploads.

Put Wi-Fi, Ethernet and your phone to work at once. Apps that open many connections use them all, so the speeds add up.

An example with two connections. One single connection always stays on one adapter, so one big file from one server is not faster.

What it does

Take control of your connections.

Windows picks one route for everything. RoutEngine lets you decide, app by app.

Bind apps to adapters

Pin a browser to Wi-Fi. A game to Ethernet. A downloader to your phone. Each app keeps to its adapter.

Fallback that works

An adapter drops. The app moves to your default or a backup. It returns the moment its own adapter is healthy.

Faster downloads and uploads

Each new connection takes the least busy adapter. Browsers, downloaders and cloud uploads open many, so Wi-Fi plus a tether adds up.

Speed limits and caps 1 APP FREE

Cap an app's speed so a big update never starves a video call. Add a daily or monthly data cap. Free covers one app for each. Pro covers them all.

Usage for every app

See which apps used the network, and over which adapter. Today or this month. Export to CSV.

VPNs and Tailscale

Send only chosen apps through a VPN. The rest stay untouched. A VPN never gets traffic you did not give it.

How it works

Three steps. Nothing changes until you press Start.

Add an app

Type its name or browse for it. Only the apps you add are watched.

Choose its connection

One adapter, several or all. Add a fallback for when one drops.

Press Start

Live speeds appear for each app. Quit, and Windows returns to normal at once.

Questions

Good to know.

How do I make an app use a specific network adapter on Windows?

Add the app in RoutEngine and pick the adapter, for example Ethernet or your phone's tether. Press Start. Only that app is moved. Everything else keeps Windows' own choice.

Why does it need administrator rights?

It creates a virtual network adapter to steer traffic. Windows allows that only with administrator rights. RoutEngine asks once, at start.

What happens when I quit?

The virtual adapter and its routes are removed. Windows routing returns at once. Nothing is left behind.

Does combining adapters speed up downloads and uploads?

Yes, for apps that open many connections, like browsers, download managers and cloud uploads. Each new connection goes to the least busy adapter you chose, so the speeds add up. One single connection always stays on one adapter. So one big file from one server is not faster.

Can I use Wi-Fi and Ethernet at the same time?

Yes. Choose both adapters for an app, or pick Use all. Each new connection takes the least busy one.

Is RoutEngine a VPN?

No. It does not encrypt or hide your traffic. It decides which of your own connections an app uses. You can also send chosen apps through a VPN you already have.

How do I pay and get my key?

Email us at [email protected] with your machine code and the plan you want. We reply with how to pay. After you pay, send us a screenshot of the payment. We check it and email your license key within 24 hours, usually sooner. Paste the key into Settings under License key and press Activate. A license works on the PC whose code you sent.

Does Pro work without internet?

Yes, for up to 7 days. RoutEngine must verify your Pro license online at least once a week. It checks by itself, about once a day. If it cannot, Pro pauses and the free edition runs until the next successful check.

Does it send any data?

Not unless you agree. Usage statistics are opt-in and anonymous. Turn them off at any time in Settings. A Pro license is checked online about once a day, and must be verified at least once a week. The free edition sends nothing.

Which Windows versions work?

64-bit Windows 10 (version 1809 or later) and Windows 11.

Can I use the free edition at work?

No. Free is for personal, non-commercial use. Work needs a Pro license for each PC.

Stop letting one connection decide for everything.

Install it. Add one app. Watch it take its own route.
